Frohe Weihnachten!

We were going to write this year’s Christmas letter as part of our blog when we realised, that there is nothing about the past year that you – the readers of our travel blog – don’t already know! How nice is that! For the first time in our lives, we have managed to keep our friends and family around the world in the loop. It has been a unique, exciting year – we saw a lot, we learned a lot, we spent quality time with old friends and family and made new friends. We would not change a thing. With a few impressions of our Advent in Austria we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

St. Nikolaus came with a sack of gooddies – checking in his book of good or bad if the kids were worthy… It was Joerg in perfect disguise but Sofia immediately recognized him because of his shoes – she was still scared though (Liam wasn’t as you can see – and he thought that Nikolaus was real)!

Because they were both scared once in bed that night, the secret was lifted and Sofia was all too happy to try on the disguise – for Liam it was still too dubious…

On our way up to meet my brother, Liam could not hide his delight over a few patches of snow – despite the somber location
Liam had an excellent teacher in aunty Lisi!
Sofia needed a bit more encouragement but at least it looked like she enjoyed herself in this picture…
A first! My brother and family, both our parents and us! It took 10 years to get us all together!
Liam and his best friends playing soccer by the empty pool
Sofia’s best friends organised a surprise party within her good bye party – really lovely!
Merry Christmas from all of us!
